guided prayer experiences

I love to guide others toward a deepening experience of the Divine, toward letting go of prescribed ways of praying and into a varied and beautiful flow of practice. I hope these prayer experiences enrich your times of reflection.

Lectio Divina, or Divine Reading, is an ancient practice of prayer that deepens us into God and into ourselves with repetitive and reflective readings of a single text. In this video prayer, I lead listeners through the four-step process of readings to aid in personal prayer and meditation. Lectio (reading) Meditatio (meditation) Oratio (prayer) Contemplatio (contemplation)

Text: Blessing the Seed by Jan Richardson, a reflection on John 12:24 "Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit."

The Examen is a prayerful practice of reflecting on the day to notice God's presence and movement in our lives. Done regularly, it expands our awareness and draws us nearer to God, allowing for greater listening and discernment.

Reading poetry is a spiritual practice, an opportunity to touch in to our truest selves and to the movement of the Spirit. In this meditation, the listener is guided in preparation for deep listening– body, mind, heart– and then led in a lectio divina-style reflective reading.
