Tending Our Inner Room Virtual Day Retreat

“Listening to the voice of love requires that we direct our minds and hearts toward that voice with our attention. How can we do that? We can use something that reminds us of God's love and put it in the center of our inner room, like a candle in a dark space. ...as long as we keep the candle in our dark room burning, we can return to that light and see clearly the presence of the One who offers us what we most desire.” ~Henri Nouwen, Here and Now

On Saturday, November 21st, from 10am to 4pm, join me for a creative and contemplative virtual retreat on crafted to invite you into stillness, reflection, and presence. Perhaps this year, more than any other, we feel the need to move intentionally toward the advent season, sifting through the clutter of our feelings and thoughts in order to find ourselves a place of rest with God within ourselves.

Our time together will be slow and grounded. We will participated in guided practices designed to deepen our awareness of the Spirit’s presence, creative practices to allow us to explore what we discover, and gentle sharing with others who can mirror our hearts back to us.

All of this to return once again to our inner room where God is always and ever present, and rediscover how to tend this most important space.

Cost for the day retreat is $50 and will include materials sent by snail mail, so registration will only be open through Thursday, November 12th. The retreat will be held over Zoom; high speed internet, working audio and video are required.

There will be a limited number of retreat space available, to keep our community intimate and meaningful.
